Fabio the skipper is 45 and Erica
her wife, hostess and chef is 34 years old.
Fabio's love for the sea started very
early, when he was just a young boy; he started sailing
on small dinghies and then he attended sailing schools until
he became a Sailing Instructor himself. Fabio started sailing
on bigger yachts and explored all the Mediterranean Sea.
In 1984 he realized his dream: the Atlantic Crossing from
Europe to the Caribbean.
From that moment he started believing that
one-day he would became a full time sailor. In 1992 Fabio
bought “nonna Elia" and slowly he starts to prepare
the yacht to realize this project. In 1995 he met Erica:
in very little time Erica too shared his dream and together
they worked to make it true. They sailed together in the
Mediterranean and, eventually, they decided they were ready
for the big change.
After a complete refitting of the Yacht "nonna
Elia", in 1996 they set course for the Caribbean and,
after a splendid Atlantic Crossing, they reached Antigua.
From 1996 to 2001 they lived a real dream,
sailing between the Caribbean Islands and then exploring,
in Venezuela, Los Roques, Tortuga, Isla Maragarita,Los Testigos
and all the more secluded corners of the country. They anchored
nearly everywhere and met fisherman and local people, making
friends everywhere.
Back in the Mediterranean Sea, they
charter "nonna Elia" in Isola D'Elba,Capraia and
Corsica.
